About
Hi! I’m Zack, and I enjoy creating things that live on the internet.
My fascination with the web started in the late 2000s, back when Blogspot and Friendster were still a thing. Tinkering with profile layouts and swapping in my favourite characters taught me more about HTML and CSS than any class ever did.
Today, I’m a Staff Software Engineer at IRVINS. I started out building and maintaining our three e-commerce sites, wiring things up so that every order knew exactly where to go, from Distribution and Finance to our 3PL partners.
These days, my work is less about flashy UI and more about keeping the engine running smoothly, working with stakeholders, helping the team stay unblocked, and upgrading or building new modules for our internal backoffice systems.
Previously, I studied software engineering, learned to write code the hard way (by breaking things), and spent time at a startup agency, experiences that taught me how to balance clean code with real-world constraints.
When I’m not at my keyboard, you’ll probably find me hiking, stringing conveyor belts, or disappearing into a good sci-fi or fantasy book.
